The Devil's Bridge; Devil's bridge is a biker meeting place near Kirby Lonsdale. Kirby Lonsdale in east of Kendal on the A65. The old A6 is a grand road and Fraser-Galashiels has been volunteered to organise the route. Fraser fancies a fast pace but he has made no promises about the weather.

This is scheduled as an offering to the Greens. Chris Green is hoping to get back to me today (Wednesday) to say if he will be fit to lead the run on Saturday 21st. If neither he nor Patrick can get along then we will have to accept that the A Team will not have a plan that comes together and plan B will be dusted off. In any event please gather at Under the Sun, Kelso from 09:00. The leaving time will be some minutes after 09:00. There is a good chance that the cafe will be open by 09:00 with hot drinks available.

This is a fish 'n' chip run to Seahouses with an adventurous after taste. The group, John and Hilda Hollwell, running an SU style week long holiday club have invited Scottish Borders to host an evening for them. Fraser and Kirsty are to be leading the confrontation with the teenagers (remember the HJ at Kelso and take notes) ably assisted by Gordon and anyone else free to come along. Hilda is expecting a predominately female audience so you have been warned! The SU style meeting will be in the Methodist Church Hall opposite the Co-op in Seahouses at 19:30. Gather at Under the Sun for an 18:00 departure to Seahouses. This should give us enough time to have a bite to eat and then get up the street to the church hall.

This trip is to be organised by Heather with a thought already lodged about possibly meeting up with Lakes 'n' Lancs. at the McDonald's off the approach road into Carlisle at J44 on the Mr. The main Honda dealer is just round the corner. If American Jim and his team can meet up with us, when more details are known, then they would be welcome to tag along on the run. Wild Hogs baby! Also Chris has a point of contact (not the grass verge) in Carlisle so perhaps this could be the start of something big.

This is the day after Kirstin’s birthday so happy birthday when you read this! Scottish Borders decided to think of this as an all Scotland event or Most Northern England if you are sensitive to political correctness. The idea is to meet at Ken and Fiona's church in Edinburgh for reformed theology and bacon rolls. The Holyrood Abbey Church is well known for its exposition of the word and its Saturday morning cafe. Ken and Fiona are on duty in the cafe that day and it would please Ken no end if a good group turned up. The idea is for us to get to the Holyrood Abbey Church cafe for when it opens at 10:30 and then combine all of our branches for a run to look at the world's longest herbaceous flower border or the castle where 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' was partly filmed. Hope you see the connection with the Holyrood church and the afternoon canter. Robert and George please let me know if you think your groups would like to join in. It's either this or an invitation to a BBQ on a windy autumn day, just like last year!
