Rest of Scotland
The Rest of Scotland branch covers a large area but currently the majority of members are located in West Lothian, Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, Dunbartonshire and Ayrshire, with a few in the Scottish Highlands and a newly formed Twig in the NE of Scotland called 'Aberdeenshire and Mearns'.
Contact David on 01563 521503 or 07712 841584 for more details, or email at: david-hunter@talktalk.net.
We meet twice a month for fellowship in different members houses - see Fellowship meetings for details.
Runs meet at 9.30am for a 10am start at the places in the events list. Contact Brian on 07737964440 for run info.
We also organise a sponsored run over a weekend for a worthy charity every year. In 2006 the run was in aid of Teen Challenge, the run in 2007 was in aid of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) and this year (2008) our run was for the Scottish Bible Society's 'Congo' Appeal on 6-8 Sept.
Branch events include a Stand at the Scottish Bike Show at Ingliston during the 2nd weekend of March each year and one at the Grampian Motorcycle Convention in Alford on Sun 7th Sept '08. In addition we are involved in church events, youth outreach, runs etc and the annual pilgrimage to the Isle of Man.

On the sponsored run 2004 we stopped at the best chip shop in Britain in Anstruther. It's Prince William's favourite, and Tom Hanks has been there too.

The theme for this year's sponsored run was bays, all on the East Coast of Scotland between Fife and Inverness. This is Lunan Bay just north of Montrose.

On the first day of the Sponsored run Alistair (why does it always happen to Alistair?) gets a puncture. Carole Nash's Mastercare comes up trumps and has bike delivered to workshop and Alistair to Hotel in Aberdeen in no time.

The service on the Sunday morning of the sponsored run was at Inshes Parish Church, Inverness where the minister Rev Alistair Malcolm (rides a Fazer) gave us a warm welcome. On his right is Dave Hunter, the chairman, and on his left Klaus Buwert, also a Church of Scotland minister, having a day off.

The CMA were represented at the Scottish Motorcycle Show in Ingliston, Edinburgh. Lots of folk stopped for a look at the bikes and a chat. Good contacts were made.
